JOB PROFILES
With the competency models in place, we work with client subject matter experts (SMEs) to create a competency profile for each of the jobs.
Job Profiles - Creating Competency Profiles for Each Job in the Target AudienceThe methodology is as follows:
  • Assemble SMEs who know the job/role in question.
  • Provide the SMEs with appropriate documentation, including job descriptions
  • SMEs review the applicable competency model, as if it were a menu, and select the competency domains or titles that apply to the target job.
  • With the list of competencies complete, the SMEs then determine, for each competency title, the level of proficiency (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) appropriate for the target job.
  • The resulting competency profile becomes the competency standard for use in such important activities as individual competency assessment/training needs analysis, selection and recruitment, career management, and succession planning.
